Ethical Swag is hiring a Graphic Designer to join our team. You will work closely with our production and e-commerce teams to ensure we meet the needs (and timelines) of our clients. There are a lot of moving parts so we are looking for someone with HATD (High Attention To Detail), dependable, and is able to work independently.
- This is a remote position, but you must be legally allowed to work in Canada.
- Flexible, but core working hours between 10 am and 3 pm EST
- Part-time (2 positions available) or Full-time (1 position available)
- Salary range: $18-$20/hour
- Start Date: ASAP
What you'll be doing:
- Creating product mock-ups and presentations to support the sales and e-commerce teams.
- Creating ready-to-print files for several different product types with different requirements.
- Ability to understand and follow branding guidelines from various different brands.
- Managing the development of marketing and sales collateral assets from design phase through delivery, including one pagers, brochures, advertisements, web design, social content, motion graphics, etc.
- Creating graphic elements such as logos, color correct and retouch images, and place or convert graphic elements and/or images into correct formats and programs.
- Ability to select images, text styles and layout that effectively convey the brand message and reflect our brand standards.
- Properly package and prepare design files for print as well as review, verify and sign off on vendor color proofs.
- Properly save files for web publishing.
- Ability to create various forms of media including videos, motion graphics, static graphics, gifs, memes, etc. in various sizes and formats utilizing the tools of your choice (Adobe CC preferred, but we’re flexible.)
- The ability to ideate and press our brand forward in meaningful and creative ways.
Requirements:
- 2+ years working experience in digital, graphic and web design, marketing, art direction, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, art, or related field; or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Advanced Adobe Suite Skills are required (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen eye for visual details, with strict quality control standards.
- Proven aesthetic skills.
- Excellent collaborative skills with the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Text, video, visual animation, landing page design skills a plus!

- Monitoring and responding to incoming client requests, delegate tasks to the different departments accordingly, and keep all requests moving.
- Reviewing correspondence from suppliers to ensure orders have complete and accurate product information, shipping details, and artwork files.
- Review client artwork to ensure there are no potential issues with file format, sizing, placement, legibility, contrast, etc., ensuring imprint will meet the client’s expectation
- Maintain up-to-date supplier, client and product information in our database.
- Keep projects moving through our process to ensure timely response rates and project turn-around.
- Deal professionally with clients, suppliers, and vendors to ensure order is completed on time.
- Follow up with past clients for post-purchase services and re-conversion.
- Participate in team meetings and assist with special projects when needed.
